capsicum frutescens

The botanical name of Cayenne is Capsicum frutescens, but it has many names, such as African pepper, American pepper, bird pepper, chili pepper, pod pepper and red pepper. Cayenne pepper is a source of different vitamins and minerals; it contains vitamins A, C, B1 and B2, potassium, phosphorus, sodium, calcium, niacin and iron. Fatty acids, pectin, and xanthenes are also among the Cayenne components.

Many herbalists think that Cayenne is the most useful and valuable herb, not only for the entire digestive system, but also for the heart and circulatory system. It acts as a catalyst and increases the effectiveness of other herbs when used with them. Cayenne is a medicinal and nutritional herb.
